The Animal Control Officer (ACO) is responsible for responding to requests for help with animals ranging from wild animals, dangerous animals, or animals in distress. If the ACO is not available, please contact the Town Hall during our normal hours of operation. 

If you believe your dog or cat got loose, please contact us at (845) 457-9211. Any adoption inquiries must be routed through the main county animal shelter. There is a mandatory 30 day holding period before any unclaimed animal will be released to the shelter for adoption. If you are interested in adopting an animal, please check the local county shelter.
